This year’s Doernbecher Freestyle reached new heights. Patient-designers Aurora, Avery, Charlye, Kamoryn, Owen and Royce took the stage to unveil their incredible collection of one-of-a-kind shoes created alongside Nike designers. Their collection reflected the courage, resilience and limitless potential that inspire Doernbecher’s work every day.
Thanks to the generosity of our partners, sponsors and supporters, the event raised more than $2.4 million for OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital — the highest in Freestyle history. Combined with profits from the Freestyle 21 retail sales, that brings the total raised to over $4.7 million!
Each design tells a story revealing the creativity, resilience and heart of Doernbecher kids. Year after year, these young designers remind us what grace and courage truly look like. With this year’s milestones, Freestyle Doernbecher has raised more than $49 MILLION since it began in 2004, giving vital care, comfort and hope to kids and families when they need it most.
The Doernbecher Freestyle 22 Collection will be available in early 2027 on SNKRS and partner retail locations across the U.S. that include Shoe Palace, DTLR and Snipes, with 100% of profits from the sales of the collection benefiting Doernbecher.
About Freestyle
As part of a remarkable partnership between OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and Nike, young patients design limited-edition Doernbecher Freestyle footwear with all profits benefiting the hospital.
Each design tells a story. 128 so far. Through them, we come to understand Doernbecher kids and, year after year, these young designers teach us the meaning of grace and courage. By supporting them, together we have done something extraordinary. With over $49 million raised, countless kids can now rest easier, in the best of hands, embracing hope and keeping their sights on the future.
All proceeds benefit the Area of Greatest Need at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, providing hospital leaders the flexibility to allocate resources when and where they are needed most.
